Raise3D PA12 CF

Raise3D PA12 CF also known as Polyamide 12 or Nylon 12 is an industrial 3D printing filament reinforced with carbon fiber. This modification significantly increases Nylon’s stiffness, strength, rigidity, shrink ratio, surface quality, heat and chemical resistance. Moreover, the material acquires low warpage and low water absorption capabilities. The material’s remarkable strength-to-weight ratio allows using it as a fitting metal substitute when dealing with lightweight components. Also, it serves as a proper constituent of functional and end-use parts and tooling, manufacture aids, etc.

The enhanced fiber content of PA12 CF filament requires printing with an extra wear-resistant nozzle and extrusion system, if you want to achieve consistent performance. Due to the construction peculiarities, it is recommended to use fiber-reinforced industrial filaments with the E2CF and the RMF500 3D printers: they are specially designed for such tasks. Otherwise, this abrasive material can wear out brass nozzles shortly.
