Intamsys ULTEM 9085 1.75 mm 1 kg

The Intamsys ULTEM 9085 is a high performance polyetherimide (PEI) blend thermoplastic. High strength-to-weight ratio of ULTEM 9085 alongside its FST-compliance makes it a perfect alternative to metals in transportation and aircraft industries where safe, strong, yet lightweight parts are highly demanded.

Outstanding chemical resistance and the ability to operate at high temperatures, withstanding both dry heat and steam autoclave sterilization, allow for the wide use of ULTEM 9085 in medical industry. As the material is certified as biocompatible, it can be employed to produce implants and medical instrument components.

ULTEM 9085 has one of the highest dielectric strengths among thermoplastics. This determines its use in electrical and electronic fields for manufacturing electrical insulators, connectors, semiconductor components, and more.

Like other high-temp thermoplastics, the Intamsys ULTEM 9085 requires special printing conditions. The 3D printer should be capable of supporting the extruder temperature of 330–350 °C and be equipped with a heated print bed and a fully enclosed print chamber.

The Intamsys ULTEM 9085 1.75 mm high performance filament is sold in 1 kg spools. It comes vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
