The Raise3D E2 is a high-performance FDM 3D printer equipped with IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders). The autonomous print heads can print in both mirror and duplication mode, producing two parts or the identical part symmetrically at the same time and thus doubling produciton capabilities. Print quality

The Raise3D E2 is a professional dual-extrusion FDM 3D printer targeted at the professional market. The device is able to print objects at 20 microns layer height delivering high-resolution parts with almost no need for post-processing. The print head travels at up to 150 mm/s. 

Its dimensional accuracy and precision make it ideal for producing patient-fit dental models, just like the product in the photo below.

E2’s dual printing capability achieved by IDEX (Independent Dual Extruders) dramatically increases your productivity. Indeed, thanks to the mirror mode, it is capable of producing a model symmetrically cutting print time in half. The duplication mode allows for synchronized printing of two models at the same time, doubling the output volume.

The automatic bed leveling checks the bed calibration before each print. It keeps a constant distance between the nozzle and the build plate in order to create a uniform build area. It continuously adjusts the extruder based on the surface contour changes for proper bed adhesion and print quality.

The device comes stock with two 0.4 mm nozzles. It is also compatible with nozzles from 0.2 to 1.0 mm in diameter. By replacing the nozzle, you can achieve the print speed and quality your project requires.

Materials

The E2 can process a wide range of filaments. Namely, it can print with PLA, ABS, HIPS, PC, TPU, TPE, NYLON, PETG, ASA, PP, PVA, Glass Fiber Infused, Carbon Fiber Infused, Metal Fill, Wood Fill, and many others.

One user 3D printed this model using PETG as support. The E2 printed it like a charm.

The printer is equipped with two V3P hotends. Their nozzles can heat up to 300 °C. When feeding the material, the optical run-out sensor constantly checks the material status and alerts you with a red light when the material is about to end. Then, the printer automatically pauses the job, giving you the possibility to replace the spool with a new one for a stress-free experience. The sensors detect filaments of any color, material, or hardness.

Unlike many FDM printers, the Raise3D E2 has a heated print bed and enclosed print chamber, which means it can reliably print with ABS-type materials. The flexible steel plate with Buildtak can reach a temperature of 110°C. By bending the bed, the ready prints can be quickly removed from the platform, minimizing potential print damage. The maximum nozzle temperature, in turn, can reach 300 °C.

The Raise3D E2 prints with 1.75 mm filament, providing you with a wide choice of materials.

Build volume

When printing in single-extrusion mode, the E2 can produce parts within a build area of 13 × 9.4 × 9.4 inches (330 × 240 × 240 mm). This lets you print most objects without having to break them up into small parts. The dual-extrusion mode features a slightly smaller manufacturing volume of 11.6 × 9.4 × 9.4 inches (295 × 240 × 240 mm).

Printer controls

The 7-inch touch screen lets you comfortably operate the printer and manage the printing settings. With a screen resolution of 1,024 x 600 pixels, it provides on-screen assistance and includes a visual model selection for convenient and user-friendly printing process.

The printer includes an internal memory of 1GB and an onboard flash memory of 8GB.

The machine offers USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi support.

The printer features an embedded Linux operating system. It comes integrated with ideaMaker slicing software providing handy tools and simple interface. The program runs on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux operating systems. It works with STL, OBJ, 3MF, and G-Code file formats.
