The Phrozen Sonic MEGA 8K V2 is an industrial-grade mono-LCD 3D printer that boasts a long-life monochrome LCD screen with ultra-high definition making it a professional machine capable of creating remarkably detailed models. Similar to its predecessor, the Sonic MEGA 8K, it offers an astonishing print area in combination with a 15" LCD and perforated build plate. Equipped with the new high-speed system, the MEGA 8K V2 prints faster than ever, producing up to 400 layers per hour.

Print quality

The Phrozen Sonic MEGA 8K V2 is a large-format LCD 3D printer that can print layers at a minimum layer height of 10 micron, with an XY positioning accuracy of 43 µm. This way, one can produce objects with extremely smooth exterior surfaces and fine detailing. In addition, due to the printer’s ultra-stable Z-axis, large and heavy objects can be printed with no wobbling.

Just like with the original Sonic MEGA 8K model, the powerful industry-leading 15" 8K monochrome LCD screen makes for the unprecedented quality of outputs produced with the device.

Since printing large-scale 3D models typically demands longer print time, the MEGA 8K V2 is equipped with a brand new high-speed system to support faster print settings and accelerate your production.

To make your 3D printing experience safe and comfortable, the Phrozen Sonic MEGA 8K V2 comes with two plug-in air purifiers that eliminate resin odor. Connected via USB, they require no recharge or battery, and the activated carbon filter can be easily swapped out when needed.

Materials

The Phrozen Sonic MEGA 8K V2 3D printer offers a variety of materials to choose from. It is compatible with both self-developed and 3rd party 405nm UV resins. The manufacturer’s resin profile database includes ready-made profiles for 20+ different resins, including ABS-like Resin, TR250 High Temp Resin, Nylon-Green Tough Resin and a variety of Castable Resins.

The printer is packaged with the Phrozen Pump & Fill — an automated resin feeder that ensures timely supply of material. This completely eliminates manual refills and resin shortage halfway through a large print job.

The 360-degree auto rotatable platform makes for uniform processing of every part, eliminating the possibility of any blind spots.

With a UV wavelength of 405 nm, the device draws current from standard power grids of 100–240V and 50/60Hz, with no additional transformers required.
