WASP 4070 FX 3D Printer

The WASP 4070 FX is a professional FFF 3D printer designed for flexible materials down to 50 Shore A, such as TPU. The device is equipped with a single 2.85 mm FLEX X direct filament extruder with the maximum temperature of 280 °C, which is compatible with nozzles up to 1.2 mm. Due to the standard filament diameter support, the WASP 4070 FX can use a wide range of proprietary and third-party consumables.

The massive build volume of Ø400 x 700 mm lets you produce large items in one session. The all-metal double gear extruders are twice as strong compared to common ones. The special direct-drive technology makes for better print quality.

The improved kinematics with powerful motor drivers and stepper motors guarantee precise and quiet work. The laminated glass door, active heat chamber with a maximum temperature of 70 °C, and cooling system for mechanical parts offer optimal conditions for printing with flexible materials.

Among other smart features introduced by the WASP 4070 FX model, it offers the VAC system (Vacuum Active Control — vacuum retention for the build plate), automated leveling, resume printing function, filament runout sensor, HEPA filtration, integrated tutorial videos, and remote intervention of the WASP technicians in case of issues.

The printer supports network connection and can be easily managed directly via a phone, tablet, or computer. In addition, the WASP 4070 FX comes with a built-in camera to monitor the printing process remotely.

The outlined features make the WASP 4070 FX a perfect tool for educational and scientific purposes, industrial and orthopedic applications, such as producing medical implants with outstanding mechanical and thermal resistance (up to 100 °C for PP).

Print quality

The WASP 4070 FX model can print layers at 0.05–0.35 mm. This way you can produce parts with smooth exterior surfaces.

The direct-drive 2.85 mm filaments technology is specially designed for flexible materials making for optimum operational conditions while working with TPU, TPE, and more.

Build volume

The massive build area of 15.75 inches (400 mm) in diameter and 27.56 inches (700 mm) in height lets you print large parts in one go without splitting the 3D model.

Printer controls

The WASP 4070 FX is equipped with a 7" TFT touchscreen with a clear user-friendly interface. The 60 LED RGB bar at the top of the printer provides information on the working status of the machine. Moreover, the model is engineered with a camera that makes for remote control of the process.

The machine supports WiFi, LAN, and USB connectivity. You can manage the device directly via a phone, tablet, or computer.

The WASP 4070 FX comes with theSimplify3D license. This professional software contains all necessary tools one needs to work with 3D models, including automated error recognition algorithms. The program has a very simple and intuitive interface. It supports STL, OBJ, G-сode file formats and runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
