WASP 4070 HDP 3D Printer

The WASP 4070 HDP is an industrial 3D printer for large-format tasks designed to print plastic pellets. The pneumatically loaded HDP extruder provides the output of up to 350 g/h. Due to the standard filament diameter support, the machine can handle a wide variety of proprietary and third-party materials, including recycled ones.

The massive build volume of Ø400 x 600 mm lets you produce large items in one session. The capacitive sensor will detect the shortage of material and request it from the main tank (5 L) on the side of the machine ensuring a non-stop printing process.

The improved kinematics with powerful motor drivers and stepper motors guarantee precise and silent work. The laminated glass door, active heat chamber with a maximum temperature of 50 °C, and cooling system for mechanical parts offer optimal conditions for printing with sensitive materials.

Additionally, the WASP 4070 HDP introduces a number of smart features, such as the VAC (Vacuum Active Control — vacuum retention system for the plate), automated leveling, resume printing function, HEPA filtration, built-in camera for remote monitoring and timelapse, integrated tutorial videos, and remote intervention of the WASP technicians in case of issues.

The print quality of the WASP 4070 HDP is precise and overall decent with the minimum layer resolution of 200 microns.

Due to new motor drivers, carbon arms, and powerful stepper motors, the printer boasts greater stability and accuracy of prints. The laminated safety glass door class 2B2 and advanced control system provide outstanding thermal stability for the chamber, which ensures smooth workflow with temperature sensitive materials, such as ABS.

Materials

The WASP 4070 HDP uses 1.75 filaments and plastic pellets of standard, technical, and recycled thermoplastics materials (2–6 mm in diameter), providing you with a wide choice of proprietary and third-party consumables, including PLA, ABS, PET, PLA wood, and ASA.

The pellet granules are 10x cheaper than filaments. Apart from this, they greatly reduce printing time without compromising on quality.

Build volume

The massive build area of 15.75 inches (400 mm) in diameter and 23.62 inches (600 mm) in height lets you print large parts in one go without splitting the 3D model.

Printer controls

The WASP 4070 HDP is equipped with a 7" TFT touchscreen with a clear user-friendly interface. The 60 LED RGB bar at the top of the printer provides information on the working status of the machine. Moreover, the model is engineered with a camera that makes for remote control of the process.

The machine supports WiFi, LAN, and USB connectivity. You can manage the device directly via a phone, tablet, or computer.

The WASP 4070 HDP comes with theSimplify3D license. This professional software contains all necessary tools one needs to work with 3D models, including automated error recognition algorithms. The program has a very simple and intuitive interface. It supports STL, OBJ, G-сode file formats and runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
