The xArm 6 is a high-performance industrial-grade robotic arm produced by the China-based UFACTORY company. It is one of the three series models, each being designed according to your purpose and application to provide cost-effectiveness. The xArm 6 boasts six degrees of freedom allowing it to move freely in a linear and circular motion. Besides pick-and-place actions, it is optimal for machine tending, screw driving, industrial assembly, packaging and palletizing, and more. The device also boasts an increased load capacity of 5 kg. The maximum speed of the xArm 6 is 1 m/s compared to 0.33 m/s in the xArm 5 Lite.

Processing quality

The UFACTORY xArm 6 robot arm provides high reliability and accuracy. It is capable of 0.1 mm repeatability at 1 m/s, offering mainstream performance to match competitor 6-axis robot arms.

The model is engineered with a powerful X86 chip to easily handle the controlling algorithm, granting smooth and accurate movement. Also, the xArm 6 adopts a compact powertrain joint, a self-developed outer rotor brushless servo, 17-bit multi-turn absolute encoder, and a built-in harmonic reducer for better repeatability and high torque capability. All this creates high gear ratios and makes the xArm joints durable and precise enough to work on long-term precise applications.

Applications

The UFACTORY xArm features a programmable xArm gripper with a universal tool mount port that allows users to install different head tools according to their needs. Its position, maximum speed, and force can be controlled to effectively perform a variety of tasks and aid manufacturing systems to increase labor productivity performance. The xArm 6 robot arm also includes suction cups with a payload capacity of 4 kg and a maximum vacuum degree of -90kpa. Using various add-ons, such as xArm vacuum gripper and force torque sensor, the device can be used for pick-and-place operations, packing, sorting, and more.

The built-in software works perfectly with xArm Studio, a fully GUI platform and features one-system solution decreasing engineering and manufacturing time significantly and providing access to raw data. With its block-based interface, it allows dragging and dropping commands to create complex paths in short times. For easy tasks, one can also simply teach xArm by hand. xArm Studio is a fully upgradable software platform compatible with multiple operating systems on both computers and tablets. It is perfectly suitable for macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android.
