OptimScan-5M is an industrial, metrology-grade 3D scanner from Shining 3D. It uses a structured blue-light technology and 5.0-megapixel cameras to generate high speed, accurate scanning results in any environment conditions. It is small and portable. You can scan large-size objects with ease.

It is equipped with professional-grade, high-quality components. It allows capturing a variety of difficult-to-scan products with dark colors, complex shapes, bright and reflective surfaces as well. It is able to carry out dimension inspection and measurement with extreme precision.

Scan accuracy

OptimScan-5M is an industrial, portable 3D scanner aimed at high-end industry inspection. It can achieve a scan accuracy of 0.005mm and an overall volumetric accuracy of 0.08 mm/m. It offers a point distance range from 0.04 to 0.16 mm. It adopts two 5.0 megapixels cameras for higher resolution and quality. It lets you obtain accurate results at a consistent speed. Also, it helps to reduce the risk of human errors.

It provides two alignment modes: automatic alignment through reference points and manual alignment.

It is compatible with the Shining 3D Probe, which allows measuring difficult-to-access areas, including deep holes. 3D Probe uses an optical CMM measurement technology and supports wireless Bluetooth transmission.

Scan volume

The scanner features different scan ranges: 100 x 75 mm / 200 ×1 50 mm / 400 × 300 mm. It has a scan depth of 100 - 400 mm.

Scanner controls

The scanner is controlled via a computer.

The dedicated software supports fixed scan and auto scan modes. It allows exporting OBJ, STL, ASC, PLY, DGM, and other file formats. It works well on Windows.
