Unitree Robotics G1 Humanoid Robot

The G1 is the advanced full-size humanoid robot designed by the Chinese-based Unitree Robotics company. Aimed at smart automation of complex tasks, the machine represents a reliable AI-based solution with advanced spatial orientation, improved motion algorithms, high stability on various types of terrain, high speed, efficient power management, and simplified programming.

Similar to theH1 andH1-2, the G1 model combines a durable and flexible design with efficient degrees of freedom, intelligent obstacle recognition system, smart construction with hollow electrical routing meaning there are no external cables, and easy-to-master controls. All these characteristics make the robot great for a number of personal and special applications, including recreation, training, business promotions, education and research, industrial use, and more.

Capabilities

The Unitree G1 humanoid robot is equipped with an effective combination of the Intel RealSense D435 depth camera and LIVOX-MID360 3D LiDAR with a viewing angle of 360 x 59°, high point cloud density, and a minimum detection distance of 0.1 m. This allows the robot to accurately perceive its surroundings in all directions and greatly adds to its real-time navigation capabilities. Due to panoramic scanning and rapid acquisition of high-precision spatial data, the G1 model can trace the most optimal route even in complicated environments, efficiently avoiding obstacles.

Thanks to its advanced components and realistic degrees of freedom, the G1 humanoid robot features high balance and stability on different terrain types. Possessing a measured gait and highly flexible movement capabilities, it is able to walk and run autonomously in complex environments. The advanced powertrain provides a high level of speed, maneuverability, and flexibility for the G1. With the improved movement and power management systems, the robot can reach a walking speed of up to 2 m/s. 

Overall, the machine boasts up to 43 degrees of freedom (EDU version only) and can safely perform a variety of custom moves, such as jumping, stretching, shaking hands, sitting down, dancing, etc.

Operation and controls

The Unitree G1 humanoid robot can be easily operated via the supplied remote controller. It features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options and supports secondary development (EDU version only).

Look and feel

The Unitree Robotics G1 humanoid robot is available in silver with black trimmings. Its stylish and futuristic appearance makes it an ideal companion for a variety of automated operations and tasks. Due to hollow joint wiring, there are no external cables on the robot.

The robot weighs approximately 77.2 lbs (35 kg). Its total dimensions are 52 x 17.7 x 7.9 in (1320 x 450 x 200 mm), while in the folded form its size reaches only 27.2 x 17.7 x 11.8 in (690 x 450 x 300 mm).
