As part of the company’s flagship X1 series, the machine offers the incredible print speed of 500 mm/s without sacrificing print quality. Its compact and stylish body with an enclosed build chamber and transparent door is packed with smart features and designed to deliver exceptional performance for a wider range of materials, including PPA-CF/GF, PPS and PPS-CF. This allows one to create accurate models with increased dimensional stability, heat resistance, and mechanical properties.
Featuring an active heated chamber with regulated temperatures in combination with an abrasion-resistant hotend, the Bambu Lab X1E is capable of processing an impressive range of advanced materials with the printing temperature below 320 °C, no matter the manufacturer. To achieve impressive printing results, the X1E printer is engineered with sturdy CoreXY kinematics for precise and smooth movement of the toolhead. This allows for up to 20000 mm/s² acceleration while the active vibration compensation algorithm adds to stability and makes for consistent high-quality prints even at top speeds.
As for quality-of-life features, the Bambu Lab X1E is equipped with a filament runout sensor, power loss recovery function, automated bed leveling, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity, integrated HD camera for remote monitoring and time-lapsing, and enhanced air filtration. The company’s brand system for multi-material printing (AMS) allows the machine to print with 4 different filaments in one project. Overall, with a set-up of just 15 minutes, the X1E works right out of the box and provides a smooth trouble-free 3D printing experience.

The Bambu Lab X1E 3D printer is equipped with a direct-drive extruder with hardened steel gears. It ensures fast, smooth, and precise filament feeding with the maximum flow of 32 mm³/s and greatly facilitates flexible materials handling.
Thanks to the printer’s superior carbon-fiber rods in the CoreXY motion structure, the X1E is able to achieve a toolhead acceleration of 20000 mm/s² by reducing the weight of moving parts. This allows the machine to maintain a maximum travel speed of 500 mm/s for longer periods, significantly reducing overall print time.
With active compensation algorithms for XY-axis vibrations and extrusion issues, the X1E ensures consistent print quality even at higher speeds. All measurements are fully automatic, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.
Due to the X1E’s built-in LiDAR and computer vision, the printer can detect first-layer imperfections and spaghetti issues. It then automatically pauses the process to prevent print failures, reduce filament waste and machine downtime.
One of the key features of the X1E is its actively heated build chamber. Accurately controlled chamber temperature (up to 60 °C) improves print quality and layer bonding, especially for filaments prone to warping such as ABS and PC.
To provide efficient air filtration, the machine comes with a combination of a G3 pre-filter, H12 HEPA filter, and a high-quality coconut shell activated carbon filter. Enhanced filtration can effectively reduce excessive odors in less ventilated working environments providing safe and convenient 3D printing experience.
Last but not least, the automatic bed leveling sensor calibrates and levels the bed properly, providing a perfect first layer for every project.
The all-metal hotend of the Bambu Lab X1E 3D printer is equipped with a hardened steel 0.4 mm nozzle and can heat up to 320 °C, providing compatibility with a wide range of thermoplastics, including common materials, carbon / glass fiber reinforced ones, and flexibles.

Supplied with the AMS module, the X1E enables multi-material printing with support filament for improved printing quality. It can parallel-connect 4 Bambu AMS systems to print with up to 16 spools of filaments, which makes for seamless surface and multi-color printing. Furthermore, the AMS module supports automatic filament reload to make sure you use all the filament on the spool before switching to a new one.
The Bambu Lab X1E is an open-material system that can print with proprietary and third-party filaments alike.
The build volume of 256 x 256 x 256 mm is spacious enough for a desktop 3D printer, making the X1E suitable for printing small to medium objects as a whole. Larger models can be printed in parts and then assembled.
The Bambu Lab X1E 3D printer is controlled via a 5" LCD touch screen. There is also an option of remote operation via the Bambu Handy mobile app. The integrated chamber HD camera enables easy print monitoring and timelapse video creation.
The machine features Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity. The latter ensures robust network communication in complex or crowded wireless signal environments. The files can also be transferred to the printer via a microSD card. In addition, the X1E model provides WPA2-Enterprise Wi-Fi Authentication (EAP-PEAP / EAP-TLS / EAP-TTLS) and individual physical kill switches for both Wi-Fi and Ethernet, meeting stringent network security requirements.
Apart from this, the X1E 3D printer can operate independently without a connection to Bambu Cloud Service, within your local network. One can remotely control the X1E through LAN communication without requiring an Internet connection.
To prepare 3D models for printing, the manufacturer recommends using the proprietary Bambu Studio slicer which runs on Windows and macOS. Bambu Studio is capable and easy-to-use software that greatly adds to the convenience of working with the machine.
The software provides a project-based workflow, supporting 3MF format, which offers many useful features, such as multi-plate support, a project resource manager, and assembly / part view. It also allows for remote print monitoring and management of multiple devices.
